I like being quiet, staying home at night, cooking something good with vegetables
I like making love, sleeping outside
Tranquil rainy mornings in the fall
I like a good hike in the mountains and big trees and aliens and abstract art and oddities
Swimming in an ocean, lake, a river or a stream reflecting on the nature of reality
Lying on the floor doing nothing special
not caught up in fear or longing to be elsewhere
uncomplicated
sometimes just doesn't happen
I like playing this guitar, playing with my band
I like Adley, Tyler, and Dan
I like Kaitlin
and my mom and dad
Ava and Sophia
and some other people too but I can't say everybody
(sorry if I didn't say you)
I like the change of seasons as the days grow long
a stunning sunset
poetry by Ryokan
I like to improvise as much as writing songs
I try to keep some fascination going on
Lying on the floor, doing nothing special
not caught up in fear or longing to be elsewhere
uncomplicated
and other things that must end
Much of this is easily obtainable in my convenient modern life
plenty to eat and all kinds of pleasures
hey, I'm grateful for my life
guess I'm lucky or something
I do what I want all the time
still, there's no promise of satisfaction

As far as indie albums in the 2010's and beyond go, this is one of the most cohesive and emotive albums I've experienced looking back on it and is Jay Som's best album tokyonoir

Just a beautiful jazzy rap album with buttery smooth flows versed with huge talent. It's not only lovely to the ears, but the lyrics are profound and empowering about the struggles that she faces. zhangtastic
